OUR STORY
This is the Murray Hill Diner on 33rd Street and Lexington Avenue where we had our first kiss after our first date, September 22nd, 2012. It's also where Ben got down on one knee and proposed to Abby on July 14th, 2016.

Transportation
If driving, it is about two hours from New York City. If you are flying, the closest airports are Newark, Stewart, and Allentown. From Newark Aiport, expect an hour and forty-five minute drive. From Stewart Airport, expect about the same. From Allentown Aiport, expect a forty-five minute drive. Public transportation is available from NYC; take a Martz Trailways bus out of the Port Authority to Mt. Pocono. You can purchase tickets online or in person; see www.martztrailways.com for details. When you arrive in Mt. Pocono, you can Uber to Crescent Lodge, or wherever you have chosen to stay. There are also cabs available, though Uber is much cheaper.
1. Are you really getting married in a field and what does that mean for my sartorial choices? This is a super important question and we’re glad you asked. Yes, we are totally getting married in a field, although there will be a path mown to the spot of the actual ceremony so you won’t be wading through tall glass. You should wear shoes that are comfortable to walk in and most definitely no high heels. I’ll call the attire “elegant semi-formal (but with flats)”.
2. How close is the reception site? The reception will be held at the house Abby grew up in, which is under a mile and in easy walking distance from the field along a sweet little country road. However, you can certainly drive if need be.
3. Will there be transportation provided from any of the recommended hotels? We will be providing a shuttle service from Crescent Lodge, where many guests are staying. Keep an eye on this site for final details.
4. That’s a lot of things happening out of doors. What’s the weather like at that time of year in Pennsylvania? Perfect. That’s why we picked September! But really, don’t worry. We do have a back up plan if it rains. Keep an eye on this site. If it looks like that may happen we’ll let you know what to do. In terms of the temperature, it could get cool in the evening, so bring a sweater.
5. What if I want to come to the Poconos early / stay longer? Is there anything to do? Yeah, there’s some stuff. If you’ve got kids, there are a few waterparks around, like Kalahari and Great Wolf. They’re all-inclusive resorts and though we've never been to any of them in Pennsylvania, we’ve both been to their counterparts in Wisconsin and they’re really fun. If you like outdoorsy things, the Delaware River has rafting. And we think there’s a jazz festival that time of year, as well, in Delaware Water Gap, which is about a half hour from the wedding location. [ITEM: Ben does not agree that Wisconsin Dells’ Noah’s Ark should ever be thought of as a “counterpart” to either Kalahari or Great Wolf; it’s stand-alone greatness must be honored.]
6. Will there be a gathering on Friday night before the wedding? We are planning a little get together around 9 p.m. at the bar at Crescent Lodge.
7. Are there colors I should be aware of? Yes, the wedding colors are the colors of the field in the video on this website, a.k.a. Sunset Hill, so green, harvest gold, chicory blue and pink.
8. What kind of food are you serving? There will be meat for the meat lovers and vegetarian options for the veggie lovers. There will be cheese, there will be bratwurst [Abby is marrying a man from WI, come on now!], there will be salads. And there will be cake.
9. What kind of alcohol will you be serving? We will be serving non-alcoholic options as well as wine and beer. And seltzer, because Ben can’t live with out it.
